According to the Announcement on the Policy of Extending the Exemption of Vehicle Purchase Tax for New Energy Vehicles, new energy vehicles purchased during the period from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 are exempt from vehicle purchase tax.
The purchase date shall be determined based on the issuance date of valid certificates such as the unified invoice for motor vehicle sales or the customs duty payment certificate. New energy vehicles exempt from vehicle purchase tax shall be managed through the release of the Catalogue of New Energy Vehicle Models Exempted from Vehicle Purchase Tax by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Taxation
