As of now, China Southern Airlines has increased its direct flights between China and Australia to four, namely Guangzhou Sydney, Shenzhen Sydney, Guangzhou Melbourne, and Guangzhou Brisbane. The number of flights operated has increased to 35 round-trip flights per week. In the winter and spring peak season of 2023, the weekly flight volume of China Southern Airlines to Australia will increase to 49, providing more routes and flight schedules for passengers traveling between China and Australia.

Sun Zhixing stated that at the beginning of this year, exchanges in various fields between China and Australia have gradually become closer. From January to September 2023, the number of Chinese tourists to Australia exceeded 623500, an increase of 380.35% compared to the same period last year.
